About TWIN

What?

TWIN is a European funded project for the development of electric bike training in the  European Union.

The training will be aimed at mechanics and their dealers and will have 3 main pillars:
(1) technical, (2) commercial and (3) business management.

Why?

In many European countries, professional electric bicycle training does not exist or is incomplete. The objective of TWIN is to make state-of-the-art electric bicycle training courses easily available for training institutes or organisations that wish to offer such training to mechanics and dealers in their country. High-quality training will help mechanics and dealers to attract customers thanks to a better, more professional service.

How?

The TWIN partners have drawn up a competence profile. This is a list of all the competences that are required to complete the electric bicycle training successfully. On the basis of this competence profile, the TWIN partners will develop the actual training courses. In conjunction with the training, a certification scheme will be put in place. In the second half of 2015, these courses and the certification scheme will be presented to all interested training institutes and other stakeholders at a two days’ workshop at Innovam, the Dutch training institute. The ultimate goal of the consortium is the establishment of a European Twowheel Academy that develops training courses on all aspects of the twowheel trade.

  1. Bonjour,
    Monsieur,
